Her high heart rate has lowered her concentration by increasing her anxiety. It is also what’s is making her lack sleep at night.

These conditions are causing a lot of psychological problems for Ellie. Her anxiety is limiting her from having full concentration while studying. Ellie has a health problem that emanates from her thyroid gland. The doctor found swelling on Ellie's neck and asked for further tests which found that her Thyroid Stimulating Hormone is very low. He also concluded that she has Graves’ disease that is causing all the abnormalities in her Thyroid. The doctor recommended her to an endocrinologist who would provide more advice on the issue.
